Alayna Johnson

North Central High School

South Carolina High School League Student of the Month for December is Alayna Johnson of North Central High School. Alayna is a senior volleyball player with a 4.732 GPA rank near the top of her class. Alayna has had a stellar volleyball career at North Central High School and her list of accomplishments is incredible. All-Region and Region Player of the Year from 2017 – 2021, All-State from 2017-2021, finalist for Class AA Player of the Year 2017-2019, Class AA Co-Player of the Year 2020 and Player of the Year 2021. High School Sports Report Class AA Player of the Year five consecutive years. 2021 North South selectee, voted captain of the South team by her peers and named MVP of the All-Star Game leading the South team to a win. Alayna has been recognized by every publication in the Southeast as one of the top players in the country.

Alayna is a member of the National Honor Society, the Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spirit Club, Teacher Cadet Program, Junior Marshals, The Freshman Mentor Program and The North Central Ring Staff. Alayna is also very involved in her church and community. Volunteering at the Kershaw County Humane Society, spending time with youth sports programs and very active with the local Toys for Tots drives. Alayna assists and volunteers with Youth Shut-In Ministry, Vacation Bible School, Kershaw Baptist Association Food Pantry and the Elderly Yard Clean-up Ministry.

Alayna has earned All-Region, All-Area, All-State, and All-American status, and she is an early enrollee at the University of South Carolina on a volleyball scholarship.
